The following graphic is a brief explanation outlining the basic steps for you, so that you have an idea of what to expect, the time required and actual process of taking your dreams and turning them into the final drawings that are required by the city and your builder. Discuss overall scope, needs, wants & vision for your project. Requirements: Home Design Wish List as well any photos, sketches or notes you have. A Quote will then be developed along with a formal contract. | Upon approval the contract is to be signed and returned to the office manager along with the initial retainer. The project will then begin the initial design stage taking into account your initial Wish List. | You will receive the initial design concepts for review. Take your time and make any changes you feel are required. The design team will then make those revisions to the design and produce an additional set for review. |
Step 6 - Option 1 A representative can act as the main project manager overseeing all of the construction and acting as a liaison between you the client and all of the trades and general contractor. Step 6 - Option 2 A representative would act as a liaison only to help you the client select the general contractor. All project management would then be handled by the primary construction company. | Upon completion of the construction drawings you will be issued a check set. This is a very important time for you; please take these drawings to your builder for review. This ensures that we have made the right design choices; they will also be able to give you more precise pricing estimates and time lines from these working drawings. Satisfied with the final drawings your final invoice will be issued and upon payment you will receive your final 15 sets of plans allowing you to move forward with Building Permits and the construction of your home. | Interactive photo-realistic renderings will be developed to coincide with the design to showcase your new project in true realism. Materials for both the exterior and interiors will be selected and reviewed for final approval. Any revisions required will be made at this time and the drawings will be prepared for final documentation. Check plans will again be provided for final approval. |
